heya! this december hols has been really great so far 'cept for the fact that it keeps on raining and raining! and u know how much i hate the rain... anyways, here's what's been goin' on...

17 DEC

Gi's back from the land of sub-zero degree celcius!!!! went to see gi at the airport with kong, pi and fi at terminal 2. when we got to the arrival hall, we noticed a huge group of people awaiting at gi's gate... peak arrival season? nope. coincidentally, 99.99% of them were malays. just then, kong exclaimed, "is Hady back?" and as soon as she asked that, i saw a boy waving around a pink Hady Mirza poster... ok. the "Asian Idol" is back. same flight time, same gate. chances of seeing Gi were starting to look slim...... and so as we were patiently awaiting gi's arrival, the crowd suddenly burst into a tremendous roar of "Hady! Hady! Hady! Hady!"

kong, pi and i huddled together for dear life, for strength. while fi was laughing away trying to provoke the crowd with an exclamation of "Taufik! Taufik!" just then, i turned around and realised kong, pi and fi disappeared from my sight! but what was worst was that the crowd was caving in on me! ok fine. i know my expression was priceless but i swear that moment felt worst than if i were to be on Fear Factor. thank goodness i escaped just in time. none of us wanted to be caught on national television or be falsely publicized in a statement that Hady's fans span across all races.

u see there's this incompatibility between us and the airport. in the past, we tried waiting for namz's arrival overnight... only to find out at 4am that her flight was the next day. we tried sending fi off to Brunei... only to find out that on that night, he's out partying at Zouk and that his flight was on the next night. and this time, in a thoughtful attempt to welcome gi back that fateful day, though we got the date and time right, Hady Mirza gotta show up!

here's pictorial evidence.

Chloé's birthday was on that day and i had to rush off to her house. she's my little cousin. well i had to take a train down to Queenstown and walk to her apartment. however, due to the lack of luck that day, i was directed to the opposite direction. i walked and walked... in the horrible rain... risking my life, trying not to slip and fall... and then just as i thought i got the right block, i saw Commonwealth MRT Station! what!!!! it's like so wrong! tired and hungry, i stumbled to take the train back to Queenstown Station and ran the remainder in the opp direction. apparently, all i had to do was go for just a few hundred metres and walah! now, i really know this area...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHLOÉ!!!
